Ramadan; The Month of Purity
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Muslims from all over the world observe fast during sunlight hours in this holy month. It is a month of getting blessing of Allah almighty. Ramadan is a very special time of a year for Muslims. In which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and taking medicine from dawn until sunset. Ramadan is a holy month that promotes good and suppressed evil. Ramadan is celebrated as the month during which Mohammed received the initial revelations of what became the Quran the holy book for Muslims, from God. When the month of Ramadan starts the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of hell are closed and the devils are chained. Ramadan is a time to give to others this is called charity.
